Hello, and welcome to my second day of the 12 Days of Bookmas where I will be recommending books to buy for yourself, or for others whom you deem worthy of presents. Today I will be giving you ideas of amazing presents for the Witch of Wizard in your life.
1 – The Illustrated Harry Potter
This edition of Harry Potter is an absolute must have for anyone who enjoys Harry Potter. It is one of the most gorgeous books I own. I was expecting it to be beautiful when I bought it, but I wasn’t expecting it to be as beautiful as it is. I don’t think anyone could be disappointed to find this in their stocking. You can get it here: The Book Depository, Amazon.
2 – Throne of Glass by Sarah J. Mass
This series is one that’s been around for years, and I only got into it this year. This book would be a fantastic buy for someone who you want to (subtly) turn into a complete bookworm. I’ve already forced this upon several friends since I read it, and they all love it (even if we do have different ships). Get it here: The Book Depository, Amazon.
3 – Sabriel by Garth Nix
How could I not recommend this tale about my favourite necromancer? You all know how much I love this series, and I think more people should read it. So help me out, and make other people read it this Christmas. Get it here: The Book Depository, Amazon. The Edition I have is by Allen & Unwin.
4 – The Hobbit by J.R.R. Tolkien (Harper Voyager edition).
I get asked where I bought this edition so frequently, and it has actually been out of print for ages. But it appears to be back in print and available, so hurry! Go gobble it up! It’s hardcover, and clothbound, and beautiful and you know you want it. Get it here: The Book Depository, Amazon.
5 – A Darker Shade of Magic by V.E. Schwab
This is another book that since reading it I have forced it upon several others, who have also loved it immensely. It is the story of four very different Londons and a man with a magical coat that can travel between them. It is perfectly written and marvelous and you will love it. Get it here: The Book Depository, Amazon.
So those are my five picks of what to buy the fantasy lover in your life. I hope you enjoyed them and will join me for more Bookmas recommendations tomorrow (or maybe the day after as I have the hugest experiment of all time planned for tomorrow).
You can see yesterday’s recommendations of what to buy a Creature of the Night here, and you can see all of last year’s recommendations here.
What fantasy books will you be buying for your beloved witches and wizards this year?
Oh oh I’d definitely buy the entire universe copies of The Demon King (wizards!!) if I was rich and famous. BECAUSE IT IS JUST THAT GOOD. *hyperventilates quietly* I also desperately need to read Sabriel!! Not having read a Garth Nix book is kind of bad of me. XD

Uhg Garth Nix is sooooo good. The cover art of that book is killing me. Must buy asap. I really want to buy A Darker Shade of Magic as well. I’ve heard nothing but good things about it.
