So, Bookmas is a thing I started last year, where I give a bunch of book recommendations for Christmas. For 12 days I will be giving book recommendations, with a different theme each day. Starting with the least Christmas-esque one: What to buy the Creature of the Night in your life (i.e. what to buy horror fans).
1 – The Road’s Classics Edition of Dracula by Bram Stoker
This edition of Dracula is BEAUTIFUL. And everyone should read Dracula at least once in their life, and who wouldn’t be over the moon to receive this edition in their stocking? Get it here: The Book Depository, Amazon.
2 – NOS4R2 by Joe Hill
This book deserves to be on this list for two reasons: 1) because it’s awesome, and 2) because it’s about a kind of immortal, Christmas-obsessed serial killer. Pick this one up this Christmas for your loved ones here: The Book Depository, Amazon.
3 – The Lesser Dead by Christopher Buehlman
Another one I have raved about. I read this book about 6 months ago, and it’s still probably the best book I’ve read this year. It’s this half creepy vampire, half Catcher in the Rye mash up and it’s got creepy vampire children, and it’s fantastic. It’s a definite buy for any horror fan, and the perfect buy for anyone who thinks horror is beneath them. Get it here: The Book Depository, Amazon.
4 – Bird Box by Josh Malerman
Yeah… I’ve raved about this one too, haven’t I? Well, this definitely warrants more ranting. This is one of the creepiest books I’ve ever read. This is a really brilliant twist on the post apocalyptic novel, in that most of the book is written from the perspective of people in blindfolds. It’s great and any horror fan will love it. I promise. Get it here: The Book Depository, Amazon.
5 – Classic Horror Stories, the Barnes and Noble Leatherbound Edition.
I received this one for my birthday, and my goodness it’s beautiful. How is this not the perfect gift for any horror fan? really? It’s perfect. It’s a beautiful leatherbound edition of short stories from amazing authors such as H.P. Lovecraft, Bram Stoker, Edgar Allen Poe, Algernon Blackwood, Henry James, and a ton more amazing people. Get it here: Barnes & Noble
I hope you like these recommendations and decide to join me tomorrow for another list of recommendations for another personality type.

This edition of Dracula is just so damn gorgeous! I’m disappointed in myself for buying another edition just a few months before this one was released.
