Hello everyone and welcome to October! In September I didn’t get as much reading done as I would have liked, but as I mentioned in my previous post, I have started writing my PhD thesis, so it’s unlikely I will be getting a lot of reading or posting done for the next few months.
Probably the most exciting thing here this month was that I got to release the official teaser for the third book in The Bone Season series by Samantha Shannon in Bloomsbury’s The Mime Order blog tour. I could not believe I was chosen for such an honour!
Read the teaser post here
Also, the giveaway winner has been drawn and contacted!

The Library at Mount Char by Scott Hawkins – Review – 4.5 stars
Only Ever Yours by Louise O’Neill – Review – 5 stars

Sorry that there is no featured photographer today. I’m pretty sick and just haven’t had the brain capacity to organise someone… sorry.

Septermber Book Haul
So it was my birthday this month and I did get some books from friends/family! (I forgot to put Only Ever Yours in this photo but I got that too).
I got a vintage edition of Alice in Wonderland and Lock and Key by Joe Hill (one of my favourite authors) from my dear friend Annie. You can see the beautiful spine of Alice in wonderland in the picture above.
I got the Classics Reimagined version of The Wizard of Oz from my brother and sister-in-law. These are both beautiful.
for more pictures of The Wizard of Oz see this post on my tumblr. You can get a copy of this book here.
The also gave me the gorgeous Camille Rose Garcia illustrated version of Alice in Wonderland.
My husband bought me Library of Souls for my birthday, which I am super excited to read. I love this series!
I also got:
Only Ever Yours by Louise O’Neill
Vixen by Rosie Garland
The Library at Mount Char by Scott Hawkins. Even though I was given a free ebook copy of this book for review I loved it so much I had to buy the hardcover.
I got this gorgeous version of Dracula by Roads Publishing. It’s probably the most beautiful edition of Dracula that I’ve ever seen and you can get a copy here.
I also got myself copies of Crown of Midnight and The Haunting of Sunshine Girl.
So that’s it on the blog for the month of September. I will be on semi-hiatus for October and November, but I will be around.
Ohh, good luck with your thesis writing and your semi-hiatus!! I LOVE ALL THE PHOTOS IN THIS POST OBVIOUSLY. Especially the ones of Alice (omg that edition!!) and Dracula and The Library at Mount Char. It’s really fun taking photos outside. ^_^

I keep meaning to read Miss Peregrine’s Home for Peculiar Children, but I just haven’t gotten around to it yet! I absolutely loved the Throne of Glass series; have you read any of them yet?
