Lit Lists – My Ultimate Zombie Apocalypse Survival Team

Hello! It’s time for another Lit Lists I think, and for today I decided to list my ultimate Book Character Zombie Apocalypse Survival Team. And then I think I’m going to tag some other victims to do this list with me.

As a scientist, precisely an immunologist, I think I could be pretty handy in any zombie apocalypse, what with my experience in developing vaccines and stuff. I would be pretty valuable in a post-apocalyptic world. So who would I want around me to protect me and ensure I survive long enough to develop a human-race-saving vaccine against the undead?

1. Celaena Sardothien from Throne of Glass by Sarah J. Maas.

Not only is she one of the most bad ass fighters that exists, I’m pretty sure she can also scent out food (particularly the sweet kind) like a bloodhound. I would feel pretty safe knowing Celaena had my back.

2. Katsa from Graceling by Kristin Cashore.

With an unnatural ability for fighting, Katsa would be absolutely indespensible in a zombie apocalypse. This girl is the one you would send into the zombie-infested shopping centre and would emerge with food, medicine, matches, and a boardgame so you didn’t have to spend the nights bored out of your mind.

3. Darrow from Red Rising by Pierce Brown

A genetically engineered super human who is also a genius? Yeah, I think he’ll do quite nicely. Darrow is one of those guys who can always turn the odds in his favour and when you’re trapped surrounded by zombies, he could get you out. It might be by planning some elaborate escape, it may be by charming the zombies into becoming your loyal slaves, I don’t know, but he’d manage it.

4. John and Dave from John Dies at the End by David Wong.

Okay, so these guys don’t have superhuman strength, but they are absolute heroes who would die for you with a smile on their face and an inappropriate joke on their lips. They also have a number of drug-induced skills that I think would be more than likely to come in extremely handy.

5. Sabriel from Sabriel by Garth Nix.

I don’t really think I need to explain why this necromancer would be super handy in the zombie apocalypse. Not only does she have a big-ass sword that she’s pretty good with, but she can sense the dead, and she can control them with her necromancy bells. Oh and she can bring you back to life if you die. Handy.

So those are my picks for my ultimate zombie apocalypse survival team. I think I picked pretty well, but I would like to see who some other people would pick, so I’m tagging some people to do this list with me.

I tag:

Cait @PaperFury, Kelsey @DarcyBookBlog, Sarah @CommasAndAmpersands, Tilly @Tilly-and-her-books, Alison @ReadAroundTheRosie, Mana @OctoberReads, and Mary @Books-and-cookies

Haha great picks, I would love to bring along Darrow, if only he could get Sevro to come along with him – that boy’s loyalty will save lives. I would also love to bring along Celaena (though I think SJM said once that she would prefer Rhysand in a zombie apocalyptic scenario XD)

  2. Cait @ Paper Fury says

Omg, can I be on your team? I will be the one hovering and crying in the background, BEING TOTALLY USELESS, but omg this team is AMAZING and you’re smart so I would be safe. :’) It’s a great plan. I CAN BE COMIC RELIEF.
I love this tag and can’t wait to do it!! 😀
