May Book Haul

May Book Haul!

So I bought…a few…. books during May.

Treasure Island by Robert Louis Stevenson (White’s Pocket Edition). I received this instead of the White’s Fine Edition which I have ordered a billion fricken times and always received a different edition. It’s getting quite frustrating I can tell you that.

Frankenstein by Mary Shelley (Road’s Publishing). Another one to add to my Frankenstein collection. This edition is so so so beautiful! I need to buy more of these!

Alice’s Adventures in Wonderland by Lewis Carroll (Penguin Clothbound Edition). I have wanted this for so long but just never picked it up. Now I have it and I’m pretty darn happy about that.

Silvermay by James Moloney. This book has the most beautiful cover. It’s a tragedy that it doesn’t come in hardcover! You can check out my review of this Here.

The Crane Wife by Patrick Ness. So I already own this in paperback, and I haven’t read it, but I saw the hardcover for like $3 and decided to buy it. What can I say, I’m a sucker for a hardcover.

The Enchanted by Rene Denfeld. I have know idea what this is about. None. It was cheap so I bought it. I’m weak. So very weak.

A Vision of Fire by Gillian Anderson. This was a total impulse by from Target. It was super cheap. It’s Scully. What was I going to do? Not buy it? I’m only human. I don’t know what to expect from this. I’ve read quite a few reviews that it’s awful, but un-put-downable.

The Prisoner of Heaven by Carlos Ruiz Zafron. I have no idea what this is about, but how can you go wrong with Carlos Ruiz Zafron? I don’t know I’ve never read any of his books but I hear great things.

Red Queen by Victoria Aveyard. So I already have an ebook copy of this that I received from the publisher but I loved it so much and the hardcover is so pretty that I decided to buy a hardcover version. You can see my review of this book Here.

Landline by Rainbow Rowell. So I now own all of Rainbow Rowell’s books in hardcover (including the elusive hardcover copy of attachments) and I have not read any of them. But some people whose opinions I highly trust say they are awesome. There are just far too many books to read and not enough time. Ugh. Life is so unfair.

I also bought the following ebooks: Gretel and the Dark by Eliza Granville, Marrow by Tarryn Fisher, Jonathan Strange and Mr Norrell by Susanna Clarke, Ashes by Ilsa J. Bick.
